Why add private RN support after surgery
Early recovery often feels unclear — dressings, drains, swelling, pain, and new instructions at home. Private post-operative RN care adds a calm, clinical presence in the first 24–72 hours and early days after discharge.
- in-person assessment of vitals, wounds, and drains by a licensed RN
- fewer “should I worry?” moments for patients and families
- better understanding and follow-through on surgeon instructions
- support with safe mobility and daily basics in the first days
Focus of care
The goal is not to replace clinic follow-up or emergency services. The focus is early observation, practical teaching, and calm, structured support while the patient transitions from hospital or surgical center to home or hotel.
Who I am
Registered Nurse with 3 years of inpatient rehabilitation experience and 10 years in acute-care Med-Surg and cardiac units. Licensed in Maryland.
My work has always centered on helping patients through early, high-uncertainty stages of recovery — monitoring vitals and symptoms, watching wounds and dressings, and making sure instructions are understood and followed.
Wildflower Surgical Aftercare provides private post-operative support for patients recovering at home, in hotels, or in short-term rentals within Montgomery County, in alignment with the existing plan of care from their surgeon.

- pain assessment and comfort measures within the existing plan

Early recovery follow-up
Follow-up visit in the early days after surgery for ongoing wound care, drain management, pain reassessment, and activity guidance.
Focused dressing or drain visit
Short visit focused on dressings, drains, or a specific symptom check when a full assessment is not required.
“First 48 hours” support
Combination of initial and early follow-up visits in the first two days after discharge, with limited non-emergency phone/text support between visits.
